Kathy,

The function Normal truncates the O[] term:

In[]: Series[Exp[x],{x,0,3}]
Out[]: 1+x+x^2/2+x^3/6+O[x^4]

In[]: Normal[%]
Out[]: 1+x+x^2/2+x^3/6
