I'm using mathematica to analyze data files i get from several experiment i'm doing for my bachelor thesis. The module I wrote works fine and i can import then export single files by defining a new file name each time.
I would however like to process entire maps of Data at once. The easiest way i see of doing this is importing the map contents, using this list to define the filenames then importing those files one at a time and processing them, then using the same filenames to export them and starting over against with the next filename in the list.
The problem im having with this however is that Import has to be of the syntax Import["file"] where the "" prevents me from using a variable. The same goes for export.
So my question is, is there any way to import using variable file-names defined in a list?

thanks in advance,
Roel Stijl.
