I have this problem: I have to get one column (about 3000000 of Real numbers) from a files composed by 4 column (each one of 3000000 of Real numbers)...Mathematica get the list but seems that keeps in memory also the other numbers of the file, so, manipulation of data gets very hard (in reality gets impossible) beacause of lack of memory...it's possible to clear the part of the kernel that contains the other data? [I have an amd64bit, winxp32, 2 GB RAM]
