The student version of Mathematica does not appear to take advantage of SMP
(at least the linux student version doesn't)

Obviouse functions like NIntegrate and coultess others could almost double
in perfermance...

I'm comparing the time take to execute a notebook when booting an smp kernel and
a single cpu kernel (ie cat /proc/cpuinfo confirms this and a quick test by
running rc5des to show that dual/single cpu's actually are impacting system
performance.)

One would hope that the non-student version does ont suffer from this crippling
factor.

Comments welcome
