Hi everybody,
I'm working on a lengthy calculation involving a number of trigonometric functions (calculating the Riemann tensor in spherical coordinates) and use FullSimplify to simplify the result. The notebook is attached to this post.
Recently I switched from Mathematica 8 to 9 and it turned out that the calculation of "riem" and "riemnp" in this notebook takes a lot longer in Mathematica 9. In Mathematica 8 it took a few minutes in my laptop, but with Mathematica 9 it is already calculating for hours. I had the same problem in some other (similarly lengthy) calculation involving spherical Bessel functions.
Can anybody confirm this?
