Hi all,

Say I define

Y[1]=1;
PreserveOriginalY=Y;

so that PreserveOriginalY[1] returns 1. If I subsequently newly define Y, for example as

Y[1]=2;

also PreserveOriginalY[1] returns 2. Can anybody suggest how I can force PreserveOriginalY[1] to return 1 (the original Y[1] value) irrespectively of subsequent changes to Y[1]?

Thank you very much!!
