I'm new to Mathematica and I'd like to reduce this expression: p1 == Exp[l (q1 x[1] + q2 x[1])]/(Sum[Exp[l (q1 x[i] + q2 x[i])], {i, 1, 2}]) q1 ==Exp[l (p1 y[1] + p2 y[1])]/(Sum[Exp[l (p1 y[i] + p2 y[i])], {i, 1, 2}]) p2 ==Exp[l (q1 x[2] + q2 x[2])]/(Sum[Exp[l (q1 x[i] + q2 x[i])], {i, 1, 2}]) q2 == Exp[l (p1 y[2] + p2 y[2])]/(Sum[Exp[l (p1 y[i] + p2 y[i])], {i, 1, 2}]) So you can see that p1, p2, p3 and p4 are probabilities to estimate.
