Thanks for your response.
However, I was not able to solve my problem. I read the linked post and also this:

I played around with Edit Stylesheet and found that it is not Text but the Input style that is bold.
None of the described ways changed anything for the input style. What is the command for the "plain" face that I could add manually under
Cell[StyleData["Input"]
