Hi there,
I have exactly the same problem which occurred today for the first time. I'm running Mathematica 7 under Parallels on MacBook Pro but that was no problem ever before.
Could this be related to any updates of the Java Package? Looks like it started in december 2012.

I couls send you the .nb if needed.
