i have mathematica 3.0 for students, and i am trying to determine the eigenvectors and eigenvalues of a tridiagonal matrix. i understand that lapack and eispack libraries have these sorts of packages in them, but i do not have them in my installation. can you tell me how to do it without these libraries or else how to access the libraries and use them. thank you jamie gough
