Author Comment/Response krindik 09/14/10 5:44pm Hi, I'm quite novice to Mathemetica. I wonder why the following doesn't give the same result N[PolyLog[3, 1 + 1 I]] = 0.871159 + 1.26708 I and its explicit summation according to the polylog definition i.e sum_{m=1}^Infinity{(1 + 1 I)^m/m^3 } Sum::div: Sum does not converge = ComplexInfinity I'm just trying to find out approximately how many terms are required to approximate the polylog, so expected the above two forms to give the same answer Really appreciate your help.
