Hello,
I've just started using Mathematica. I'd like to find the maximum valued element in a matrix. There must (surely!) be a simple function that does this, but... after much trawling, I can't find it in any of the documentation.
Max doesn't seem to work - it just returns the whole matrix. Can anyone tell me what I should use?
