I attached a txt. file to this. the sample file is a date with military time.
here the sample outside the txt. file
JOE,201105230900,24.3,24.5,24.25,24.4,990072
JOE,201105230901,24.38,24.38,24.33,24.33,251096

here is a possibly useful link?http://reference.wolfram.com/mathematica/DatabaseLink/tutorial/DatabaseReference.html

I am trying use this type of information inside mathematica, with more entries of course. I will start with 25,000 and maybe get to a 1,000,000.

here is some examples that I want to do with the data.
take an average of a moving time period ie. (average of the previous 5minutes) or add or multiply moving time periods etc.

how would I accomplish this goal?

I am very new at mathematica, so please be very thorough and obvious with explanations
