Hello,

I am new in Mathematica, and am having a hard time to do an apparently simple task. I want to take the first derivative and solve it for zero. For example,

D[((x*l1+(1-x)*l2)/sqrt((x^2)*v1+((1-x)^2)*v2+2*x*(1-x)*c)),x]

does not work.

Would it be possible to you, please, to point out what I am doing wrong?
