I would like to calculate the partial derivative of an algerbraic function. Is this possible with mathematica?
For example, I know mathematica can calculate:
D[4x,x]
4
however can mathematica calculate:
D[mx,x]
m
If it is possible then I would like to use the program to calculate more complex algerbraic functions.
