I simply used the command in Mathematica v8.0:
Plot3D[Cos[x], {x, 0, 16 \[Pi]}, {y, 0, 2 \[Pi]}, PlotRange -> All]
This leads to a weird 3D plot (see figure): along x =2n*pi, instead of a straight line, I have this sawtooth shape. Can anyone explain what is going on here ?
