I am trying to assign automatic numbers to blocks of text. I realize this can be done via Instert> automatic numbering or numbered item but I would like to be able to edit the values.
In other words I want my text to be numbered like this:
1a) **block of text**
1b) ** block of text**
2a) ** block of text**
... and so on.
From my understanding I have to edit my stylesheet to accomplish this however the instructions have been a bit sparse on how to precisely achieve this.
I am using mathematica 8 with the default sytlesheet
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
