Hi,
I want to reconstruct 2D microstructure serial section images into 3D with good resolution, to study the growth of grains in materials microstructure.
The problem i am facing is, to use few 2D serial section images (upto 25 or 30, because to get more 2D serial section images experimentally is very cumbursome and time consuming) to get their 3D reconstruction with good resolution. The actual problem is to remove the gaps between the serial sections and to make sure that each grain will have a unique identifier associated with it and then stack them together for 3D reconstruction, to get a good resolution 3D image. A 2D sample image is attached here.
can any one help me please
Thanks!
