In Response To 'Re: Mathematica 6 crashes on mac opening dialog...' --------- This is a recently found problem on a four-year-old product. The exact cause has not been tracked down.
If I learn of a fix, I will post it.
People who use Time Machine to back up their Macs can back up to a previous MacOS level. Look in the Macintosh Help for
"Revert to a previous Mac OS X version"
It might not hurt if Apple heard back from people for whom 10.7.2 was a downgrade.
