Hi,

Suppose i have some expression which has let's say two parameters:

F[parameter1,parameter2] these parameters can get(acquire during calculation) some sybmolic values: a,b,c,d, etc.... and what I want is when these parameters coincide like a
F[a,a] for example I want mathematica to treat similar expressions as zero.

I was thinking to do
F[a_,b_]:= If[a=b, 0, F[a,b]]

I am not very familiar with mathematica so could you pls help me . . Thank you
