Would it acceptable to substitute Sqrt[f^2] for Abs[f]?

Then

In[1]:= Integrate[D[Sqrt[Sin[n x]^2],{x,2}],{x,0,2Pi}]

Out[1]= -Sqrt[n^2]+n*Cot[2*n*Pi]*Sqrt[Sin[2*n*Pi]^2]
