I have ran the same lines on a different computer wiyh mathematica 7 on it (my preivues resaults where all on version 8).
It seems to work as expected, and is able to give the table as an output.
The computer with version 8 is also considerably more powerful then the one with 7, low chance it got anything to do with low memory.
Maybe some defualt setting for version 8 that limit the kernel?
