Hi,

I want to plot the function 3 x y^2 - x^3 + 4 x^2 + 4 y^2, with .9<=x^2+y^2<=1.1

I have tried it with

Plot3D[3 x y^2 - x^3 + 4 x^2 + 4 y^2, {x, -2, 2}, {y, -2, 2},
RegionFunction -> Function[{x, y}, .9 < (x^2 + y^2) < 1.1]],

but strangely there are four region where the function does not appear.
Could someone explain me why? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Michael
