When using Import on numerical lists generated by
f77, Mathematica (Linux student version) sees the
number with E+00 extension as a string. Any other
non-zero exponent ( xyzE+xy) works fine. It is not
difficult to fix (text editor and/or string manipulation
in Mathematica) but it is kind of annoying when you see
it the first time
