Manipulate Constraints

So, have this graph that I want to publish as part of a paper (well a link anyway) that involves a 3d graph with a bunch of manipulate sliders. I've limited things the best I can using the fact that you can specify the limits using variables. However, I have a couple of issues:
1) sometimes I will end up with one of the bars turning red (the value is outside of the range), I need these to snap into range, if it is out of my range it is impossible.
2) Is there a better way to specify constraints then using the limits on the bars?
