Dear Anyone-Who-Has-the-Answer,
If I create a button with Paste as the ButtonStyle it behaves normally from within active Input cells, but, if the button is created within or moved to an active Text or Title cell it pastes its contents in a newly created cell located above the button's cell reguardless of the location of the cursor. Moreover, if the button has CopyEvaluate as the ButtonStyle then any button with a Text or Title cell (at least) will ignore the current selection and once again paste the button contents to a new cell located above the button's cell. Why am I getting this spooky behavior from my buttons in these non-Input cells? It is preventing me from making smooth interactive notebooks. I use Mathematica 3.0.0.0 (student) within Mac OS 8.1 on a 266 MHz G3.
Sincerely,
James J. Fuite.
