Yeah that the error I've been getting as well. This data comes from exciton lifetimes in quantum dots. The equation I've been trying to fit comes from physical parameters which I'm trying to retrieve so changing the equation is not an option.

I tried using constraints on the parameters. m should be between .4 and 1 while R is the exponential lifetime so that has some other range. I get a different error with that input. I've been trying with more sums to see if that's been bugging it. (It might not converge with too few sums.) In theory its an infinite sum but apparently that doesn't necessarily converge.
