Hi

Is there any way to constrain the movement of a Locator Control Type in Manipulate so that it, for example, only moves along the Cosine function?

I have seen programs that have the locator move along a circle (they typically use the command "Locator[Dynamic[pt, (pt = R*Normalize[#]) &]]")
and I am looking for a way to do something similar with any function.

Please help!
