The converting in a package worked after defining all cells as initialization cells and I can load the package with 'Get[]' and it executes it before it goes to the next cell in the calling notebook.
(For reference for other users with the same problem)
Of course to create the package I had to set the AutoGeneratedPackage option in the Option Inspector under Format for the specific package to Automatic or Manual.

PS.: Wolfroam should realy thing about a way to enforce the execution order such that you could call other notebooks as a function without creating packages. Otherwise you have to make always sure that the package is updated.
