I have a data file, actually, a column of pairs of numbers, (x, y), so I have some tabulated function, or a signal. If I plot it, the signal looks mostly noisy, but I can discern a kind of periodic pattern. How should I use the Fourier functions in Mathematica to identify if there is some dominant frequency in the data, and also how significant it is statistically?
