NSolve[] seems primarily to work on polynomial problems and does not print a message telling you that for non-polynomial problems you should try FindRoot[] instead.
Perhaps there could be a novice mode warning message that would explain that and save hours of confusion and aggravation.
FindRoot[] almost instantly finds that {0,0,0} is one solution
