I'm new to Mathematica and just installed 8.0.4.0 for Students on OS X Mountain Lion.
I get an empty plot with this equation:
Plot[((1/2)-(1/x))/(sqrt(x)-sqrt(2)),{x,0,5}]
Pasting this into WolframAlpha gives me the correct plot.
Is this a bug?
