When I try to graph the cube root of x or ( x^(1/3) ) it will only display the 'x' positive curve (the answer that forms the line in quadrant 1 ). It will not give the line that forms in quadrant 3, it gives a message in blue stating that when x is less than 0 that the output is not a machined number or somthing to that effect. There is a graph their because when I use my graphing calculator it shows-up, not to mention the answer is in the back of my text book. What Gives?? Is their a certain procedure i need to follow in order to receive the plot points in quadrant 3??
