I have a transcendental equation involving both Bessel functions (BesselJ and BesselY) and derivatives of these functions. I cannot get Mathematica 3.0 to evaluate this equation numerically so that I can plot it and find the zeroes. I've found the Bessel functions work fine, but as soon as I add the derivatives I cannot get a numerical result. How do I get numerical results for derivatives of Bessel functions?
