I really appreciate your replies.May be I used the term "conditional" but let make it more clear.It's like I have ,say, three experiments and subjects are coded as 1,2 & 3 indicating their grouping status so my goal is to find the group mean or variance. For instance, I may have a data set like:
{{1,3,2,2,3,1},{10,7,2,8,7,2}}
so the group means should be {6,5,7}. This also can be seen as a conditional mean on group code.
I need to find a straightforward way to do this.
