I'm am curious as to how one applies an independent dataset to a fuction created by a linear regresstion model on a different dependent dataset.
For example I have a model y=1+ax1+bx2+cx3 made from the dependent dataset. I also have what would be x1's, x2's, x3's from the separate independent dataset. I need to know how to put the x1's, x2's, x3's from the indep. dataset into the x1, x2, x3 of the model in order to get predicted y's for the cases in my independent dataset
