Im trying to fill in data in an image/heights array (a 640x480 array) which has NaN data type in place of dropouts in the data (I could substitute anything there instead of NaN type, like a 0 for ex.)

But when I use the interpolation function: Interpolation[...] (linear is fine) to "fill-in" the missing data in the array it keeps the NaN type instead of substituting a linearly interpolated number in its place.

So I can't integrate the volume for example

any ideas?
