You could try to automate this by calculating the translation and even scaling to superimpose the two Plot[]s. Or you could just do something simple and get your work done. This is the second approach.

In[1]:= f[x_]:=x;
g[x_]:= -x+4;
gt[x_]:=g[x+2];(*gt[] translates g[] as needed*)
Plot[{f[x],gt[x]},{x,0,2}]

Out[4]= ...OverlaidPlotSnipped...
