I came upon a confusing problem.
Given the function:
f(x) = x mod 1
Alternatively expressed as: f(x) = frac(x) or http://mathworld.wolfram.com/fimg85.gif (** this pic borrowed from examples found on this site)
What is this funcitons derivative???
d/dx f(x) or f'(x) = ???
I rationalized that the 'slope' of this function is monotonicly increasing and constant (baring the discontinuity about the inteteger points). So is this functions derivative constant??
Thanks for any help!!
