I would like to use MathLink for Excel and use a remote kernel on another machine. This question is two pronged. At work I rua a Mac and can access a remote host Mathematica kernel on another machine. I would like to know if I can use mathlink over the network. At home I use a PC runing Linux and use VMware to run MS products. VMware creates a virtual network. If I run Mathematica 4 for Linux could I have access to this with Mathlink on Excel (in a virtual computer)?
