Hi,

are you sure your task is well defined?

There is no positive root z0 of your equation for 0<a<1 and b>1/2 if Mathematica is right:

In[1]:= Reduce[z==a*z^3+b*z^2+a+b&&z>0<a<1&&b>1/2,z]
Out[1]= False

better try another one ;)
