You might use Ticks with a condition on a boolean variable that will set what you want
use the code below

Manipulate[Plot[Sin[x], {x, -2 Pi, 2 Pi},
Ticks -> {If[radians == True, Table[k \[Pi]/2, {k, -4, 4}],
Table[k \[Pi]/2 {1, 180./\[Pi]}, {k, -4, 4}]], Range[-1, 1, 0.5]},
GridLines -> {{-2 Pi, -3 Pi/2, -Pi, -Pi/2, 0, Pi/2, Pi, 3 Pi/2,
2 Pi}, Automatic },

PlotLabel -> "Sine and associated angle",
LabelStyle -> Bold],
{radians, {True, False}}]
