How can I use Mathematica to visually grasp a better understanding of related rates. Nearly all related rate problems seem to have a real, or virtual geometric figure associated with them. For instance, the classic conic pile with the right cone, or the shadow problems, which are based on a triangle. I want to visually see changes in the figures, and simultaneously also be able to see the changes in numeric values. Can I do this in a notebook animation? I am not sure how to go about starting. I purchased this program in hopes of gaining a better understanding of mathematics, but it needs to work with me, and me with it. Can you help?
