(* Finding the closest and farthest points on an ellipsoid to (4,6,13). *)
Minimize[{(x - 4)^2 + (y - 6)^2 + (z - 13)^2, x^2 + 2 y^2 + 6 z^2 == 1}, {x, y, z}]
Maximize[{(x - 4)^2 + (y - 6)^2 + (z - 13)^2, x^2 + 2 y^2 + 6 z^2 == 1}, {x, y, z}]

I get results which seem reasonable:
Closest:
{205.6944, {x ->0.4746151, y ->0.3784113, z -> 0.2852923}}
Farthest:
{237.2617, {x ->-0.541713, y -> -0.3804159, z -> -0.2636648}}

I want to plot the ellipsoid, but my code doesn't work.

Plot3D[x^2 + 2 y^2 + 6 z^2==1, {x, 2, 6}, {y, 4, 8}, {z, 11, 15}]
