Hello

I use Wolfram Mathematica 9 Student Edition on a Mac.
If I run the following statement the Math Kernel gets very busy:
Manipulate[
qdq[p_] := a - b*p;
qsq[p_] := c + d*p;
Plot[{qdq[p], qsq[p]}, {p, 0, 10}, AxesLabel -> {"p", "q"},
PlotLabel -> "qp Diagram"],
{{ax, 7}, 0, 50},
{{b, 2}, 0, 50},
{{c, 1}, 0, 50},
{{d, 1}, 0, 50}]
If i don't use the self defined functions qdq and qsq everything runs fine:
Manipulate[
Plot[{a - b*p, c + d*p}, {p, 0, 10}, AxesLabel -> {"p", "q"},
PlotLabel -> "qp Diagram"],
{{a, 7}, 0, 50},
{{b, 2}, 0, 50},
{{c, 1}, 0, 50},
{{d, 1}, 0, 50}]
Any ideas or suggestions?

Kind Regards
Stephan
