I'm trying to plot the function:

1 - (Cos e^(3x/4)) on the interval [-1,1.5]

I keep getting this error:

Plot::plnr: (f[x]) is not a machine-size real number at (x) = -1.

Here is what I have typed in the notebook:

f[x_]:=1 - Cos e^(3x/4)
{a, b} = {-1, 1.5}
Plot[f[x], {x, a, b}]

I've tried everything I can think of to get this to work. Any help is appreciated.
