Hi,
I am unable to graph a parabola that opens up to the left or right sides. I can graph a parabola that opens up, for example, by graphing, Plot[x^2, {x, -4, 4}]; or a parabola that opens down by graphing, Plot[ -x^2, {x, -4, 4}];. I can't figure out how to graph a parabola that opens up to the right or left. I know that a parabola that opens up to the left or right is not a function. However, there must be a way to graph one. If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it. I'm using Mathematica 4.0. Thank you very much.
