I'm running an NDSolve that is returning large InterpolatingFunction objects, over 2Gb. I would like to have results simultaneously loaded into the kernel that, in their current format, will easily exceed 10Gb.

I'm looking for a command that will reduce the size by reducing the number of data points used in the interpolation function, ideally as it is being constructed in the NDSolve function, or else by retrospectively by removing X% of the data points.

Any recommendations along these lines,

Thanks,
Michael
