Is there any chance you could cast your problem into the form of a "difference equation"? That is somewhat like a differential equation, but everything is expressed in terms of discrete time steps, like perhaps your seconds, and it won't be using unknown arbitrary time steps that you can't see or control.

RSolve can do some things like this.
