O.K., so I've got an equation which prints out to 4.5 pages from Mathematica. I need to insert this equation into Word. I'm using student versions of 4.0 and 4.1 (my lisence on 4.1 ends soon), and 4.1 allows me to Save As an EPS. However, when I try to open the EPS file in Adobe Illustrator 8.0.1 (so that I can break the equation into 5 separate files), I just get junk. I know that Illustrator 8.0.1 supports level 1 PS (as well as 2 and 3), but I can't figure out the best method to create and equation. I use MathType 5.0 for simple equation creation, I don't intend to spend the better part of my week typing my Mathematica output into MathType if I can do some simple graphic file manipulation and import/export.
Here's my output file.
